I watched it on it's first night of release ( over here in Middlesbrough).

I thought it was really good, my little 3 year old sister was sat next to me, she didn't cry once, she didn't moan once, and she said it was great!

A must see.

Ash.

I hope you guys know that The Producers is also a remake of a Mel Brooks movie with Gene Wilder. The 2 main characters in the remake usually try to hard to be funny. I just can't think anybody could remake Gene Wilder (Want proof? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.)

I think this goes for all remakes of classics, The remake may be good but it can't be better then the original.
Which brings me to King Kong, am I one of the few that has faith in Jack Black?

Also, i recently watched the original King Kong (TCM FTW) and it was short and sweet (1 hour, but it got to the point)
I think that if anything will be the downfall of this movie it shall be the length (3 hours of watching a retelling of a story that everybody knows).

Nobody in the theatre will be thinking "I wonder what's going to happen next." as King Kong climbs the Empire State Building.

I felt a bit sad for King Kong. The producers gave him a really nice personality and you could tell he wasn't all bad. OMFG the King kong ics skating things Ruled.

It was good. I like the cinematography of it but I guess that's a feature of Peter Jackson's work. The CG of Kong was good except for a few scenes where you see him from a distance and it was obvious those were rushed. Also it could have been a bit shorter. It was good overall.

Well this was a satisfying way to find out the ending of the movie.....

Fortunately I watched the movie first. . Personally, I'm looking forward to Munich more than any other movie this year. As for Peter Jackson in the league of Spielberg.....I dont think so. Jackson has churned out some wonderful action/adventure movies and fits very well into modern film. But we'll have to wait and see how he handles dramas and other genres first.
